Former @sbhsvt student Will Bradley recently wrote to Sinyoung Evans who he took Japanese with for 2 years. He has been in Japan the past month with other SBHS alums Noah Robertson, Gio Stazi and Rowan Nenninger visiting Tokyo, Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka, and Hiroshima. They also climbed Mt Fuji. He wrote to Evan Sensei, “Japan is a beautiful country, and I am grateful to have taken your class because the 2 years of Japanese has helped me communicate and get around and it inspired me to come visit Japan and now, I plan to study abroad here for college!” Thanks for sharing these pictures Will! Glad you are using what you learned from Evans Sensei and having a terrific summer! A great reminder of the importance of foreign language studies and the strong impact our teachers have on our students.

Would you like to walk, bike, or roll to school but lack a safe or connected route? The City of South Burlington wants to hear from you!
They will use your input to create a citywide Active Transportation Plan that will guide sidewalk, path and roadway improvements to help people choose walking, biking and rolling.
To participate, please join us at the second public meeting on Thursday, June 6 at City Hall (180 Market Street) to provide your feedback on what would help you walk, bike, and roll safely around South Burlington.
This Open House event will begin in the City Hall lobby at 5:00pm with free food, followed by a presentation from the project team in the Auditorium at 6:00pm. Hear what they’ve learned so far and discuss possible improvements to South Burlington schools and throughout the City.
