Please join us in remembering former South Burlington teacher Kathy Buley by donating blood at Chamberlin Elementary School on Saturday, October 5th. When Kathy was diagnosed with cancer, she needed several transfusions. When she was asked what people could do to help her, she responded that people could become blood donors to support all of the people in need of life saving blood. Chamberlin then began the tradition of an annual blood drive in her honor.

TIE Spain students have been seeing the sights of Vermont with their wonderful host families! They've been to Mount Philo, Stowe, Lake Placid and taken trips to apple orchards, concerts, ice skating rinks and Boston. We're so thrilled to have them in our community, if only for a short time.
And next week, TIE and @sbhsvt will welcome students from Germany as they celebrate the 50th anniversary of their cultural exchange!

Please fill out this survey regarding the neighborhood route to school!

Picture Day! Students have been having their portraits taken this week. The perfect way to remember the school year (even though we’ve only just begun!)

We're bursting with pride over the turnout at the Burlington Pride Parade! Students from the QSA and GSA, staff and families attended the event this past weekend.

Never miss an alert! Text 67587 or check that you have opted in via your PowerSchool account.

It's the first day and we're off and running! We're in class, we're at recess, we're at lunch, we're meeting Marky the Moose, we're in the ZEMs, we're joining band! Let's do it all again tomorrow!

The middle school welcomed 6th graders today! They went to their Teacher Advisories, met their classmates and Principal Gruendling, ran through their day (including lunch and recess) and by Monday, they’ll be pros!

And we're back! After two days of new teacher orientation, all SBSD staff attended Convocation this morning. After welcoming new staff, recognizing anniversaries and honoring staff with awards, Ferene Paris (@allheartinspirations) gave a wonderful keynote on love and healing. Teachers then began Inservice at their schools. 2024-2025 school year, we are ready for you!

School starts in one week and we can't wait to see you see! All available back to school resources are at www.sbschools.net/backtoschool
