    Andrews Hiroshi Andrews '87
    Soccer, Indoor Track, Track & Field
    • 4 year Soccer player, member of State Championship team in 1985
    • Set school records in the 200m dash and 110m & 300m hurdles in Track & Field
    • Won 4 events at the Vermont State Competition in 110m hurdles, 300m hurdles, 200m dash and 4x100 relay
    • Named Captain & MVP of Track
    • Member of 1st SB Track & Field State Championship in 1987
    • Hiroshi set, equaled or broke 3 VT state records in the 200m dash and 110m & 300m hurdles, the 300m hurdle record stood for 27 years
    • Won 300m hurdles at New Englands
    • Awarded the SB Kiwanis Award for Outstanding Male Athlete
    • Hiroshi went on to compete in Division 1 track in college
    Barrett BJ Barrett '99
    Football, Baseball
    • BJ was a 4 year Varsity starter on the Football field
    • Played both sides of the ball in addition to kicking.
    • Member of VT State Championship team in 1998 where BJ rushed for over 346 yards to lead the Rebels to victory
    • BJ held the SB total rushing record with 1,815 yards that would last at SB for 16 seasons
    • Named 1st team running back by the BFP and VT Coaches team
    • Selected to the 1999 Maple Sugar Shrine team
    • In Baseball BJ was a strong fielder and imposing presence on the mound.
    • Named Honorable Mention All-Metro in baseball
    • Awarded the SB Kiwanis Award for Outstanding Male Athlete

    Bright Bill Bright '87
    Soccer, Basketball, Track & Field

    • 3 year Varsity Basketball player, leading the team in assists and steals both Jr & Sr years
    • Selected to the All-Metro, All-State and Alhambra teams
    • Received 4 Varsity letters in Track
    • Triple Jump Champion at the district and state levels
    • Set the school record in Triple Jump which stood for 16 years
    • Named Captain in both Basketball and Track
    • Recipient of the Bill Strope Memorial Award
    • Awarded the SB Kiwanis Award for Outstanding Male Athlete
    • Bill went on to compete in Basketball and Track at UVM
    Carney Lefebvre Shawn Carney Lefebvre '99
    Field Hockey, Basketball, Lacrosse, Softball
    • 4 sport Varsity athlete
    • Field Hockey named to the All-Metro, All-State and Twin State teams
    • 3 year Varsity starter in Basketball, named All-Metro 2nd team
    • Softball, 2 year Varsity starter, named All-Metro
    • Named Captain in 5 athletic seasons
    • Named BFP Athlete of the Week 3 times
    • Senior year Shawn tried Lacrosse and was named 2nd team All-Metro as a goalie
    • Led the division with saves and was selected to the All-State Team
    • Awarded the SB Kiwanis Award for Outstanding Female Athlete
    • Shawn went on to be a 4 year starter in Field Hockey at UVM
    Filion Decarreau Jackie Filion Decarreau '98
    Soccer, Basketball, Softball, Track & Field
    • Three sport athlete, known as an outstanding defender on the Soccer field
    • One of the leading scorers for Rebel Basketball
    • Named to the Metro All-Star 1st team and Honorable Mention for the All-State and USATODAY teams
    • Selected to the North/South game and the VT Alhambra All-Star squad
    • In Softball Jackie was named 1st team All-Metro both her Jr and Sr seasons
    • All while suffering (2) ACL injuries during her HS career
    • Awarded the SB Kiwanis Award for Outstanding Female Athlete
    • Jackie went on to play sports in college
    Hayes Churchill Ann Hayes Churchill '74
    Gymnastics, Track & Field 
    • Winner of both individual and team State Championships in Gymnastics and Track & Field
    • Competed in Shot Put, long jump, 220 dash and 4x110 relay
    • Leading point scorer and MVP all 3 years of her track career
    • Won 2 state titles in Shot Put with record setting tosses
    • In Gymnastics a member of one State Championship team and runner up three years
    • Won two individual state Championships in Floor and Vault
    • Captain of both Gymnastics and Track
    • Awarded the SB Kiwanis Award for Outstanding Female Athlete
    MacDonald Burke Erica MacDonald Burke '85
    Soccer, Alpine Skiing, Nordic Skiing, Track & Field
    • 4 sport athlete at SB, a solid offensive player in Soccer and contributor for Track & Field
    • Top skier in Vermont and New England
    • Earned the Skimeister Award for the most points in combined Alpine and Nordic skiing
    • State Championship winner in the Rebel Nordic Relay
    • Won every HS Nordic race she entered her Sr year, including VT State Champion, New England Champion and Eastern Champion
    • Qualified for competition in the Junior Olympics
    • Erica went on to compete at UVM and was named 1st alternate for the US Ski Team
    ODay Mike O'Day '72
    Football, Basketball, Baseball
    • A standout 3 sport athlete at SB
    • Key contributor to 4 VT State Championship teams
    • Football played both sides of the ball as a receiver and defensive back
    • Named All-North and All-State in both baseball and football his Jr and Sr years
    • Mike went on to compete in Division 1 Football in college
    • In 1985 Mike was hired as the Student Activities Director at SB and held the position for 30 years until his retirement in 2014
    • Mike won many awards for his dedication to Vermont athletics and was honored as Athletic Director of the Year Award in 1989 and 2001

    Weaver D.G. Weaver '71
    Football, Ice Hockey, Baseball
    • Football DG was a strong competitor on both sides of the ball as an offensive guard and linebacker, a member of the schools 1st ever VT State Championship team.
    • Hockey was DG's most favorable sport helping the Rebels to a 13-1 season and Northern League Champions.  DG went on to play hockey at UVM
    • Baseball DG was a member of the 1971 State Championship team
    • DG went on to coach, became an Athletic Director and  Assistant Principal in Vermont
    • DG was however best known for his indomitable spirit and courage beyond his physical attributes, he was honored with many awards for his dedication to the youth of Vermont
    Woods John "Jack" Woods - Coach 1964-1986
    Football, Baseball
    • Varsity Baseball Coach at SBHS from 1965-1986
    • Compiling over 200 wins, 4 State Championships, making the semi-final 10 times and the championship game 6 times  
    • In addition Jack coached football for 4 years, was a PE teacher for 27 years and Department Chair for 20 years
    • Awarded VT State Baseball Coach of the Year in 1973
    • In 1986 was chosen to head coach the Twin State Baseball Classic
    • Fellow Baseball coaches said "Jack was one of the best in-game baseball managers in Vermont, making the right decisions at the right time to help guide his Rebel teams to many victories"
