    A big thank you to all who participated in the FHT Food Drive this year!  As a Tuttle Community, we collected over 400 items that will be delivered to the SB Food Shelf tomorrow.  The winning grade, for collecting the most items, will be announced Friday afternoon at Tuttlefest. Thank you again to our Tuttle Community for supporting our SB Community in this way.

    Congratulations to FHTMS Track athletes, whose 6th grade boys finished 1st and Girls finished 2nd of the 12 schools attending the 6th grade meet!!  Huge shout out to Mrs. Guthrie and Mrs. Knoth for their role and excellent skills as "spotters" at the finish line!  The whole team travels to Colchester today for our first away meet—wish them luck and Go Wolves!!

    Tuttle’s spring musical production Tuck Everlasting is happening this weekend!! Performances will be at SBHS on both Friday and Saturday night at 7PM and Saturday at 2:00PM. Tickets are now on sale, and you can scan the QR code on the poster to order tickets.  Ticket are $6 for students, and $10 for adults.

    Skateboard club is cancelled today. The last trip to Talent will be Wednesday May 17th. 

     

    Peer Leadership is hosting a food drive and collecting donations for the SB Food Shelf. Collection will start Monday, May 8th and go until Tuesday, May 23.There is also going to be a friendly competition between 6th, 7th, and 8th grade to see who can bring in the most items.Periodically, we will count the number of items per grade and update a board in the lobby showing each grade's donations. At the end of the food drive, the grade with the most donations will receive a trophy and prize. There are many people in our community who use the food shelf- let’s see which grade can help the most!

     

    QSA meets today after school from 3:30-4:30 in Mrs. Treston's room. Everyone is welcome to join us for snacks and acceptance.

There will be a South Indian celebration this Friday from 3:30-4:30 pm in Room 261 led my Ms. Connors and her mom. Ms. Connors’ mom, Jaya Connors who will share stories from her childhood in the jungles of Kerala, India, her experience with culture shock when she moved to Canada and much more! We will also create South Indian art called “kolams” and taste some savory crepes called “dosas”! We hope to see you there!

    The B boys basketball practice is cancelled for this afternoon.  Practice will be tomorrow from 2:30-4:00.

    Congratulations to the Middle School Nordic Ski Team for a great middle school state championship on Wednesday.  The boys team was led by 7th grader, James Langan,  who placed 3rd in the overall standings and 8th grader, Sam Harm, who placed 6th.  6th grader, Sylas Weaver, placed 16th.  Renny Schaefer, 6th grade, placed 26th.  With these results, the boys placed 2nd overall in the Vermont championships.   Other middle school racers with good races for the day were: Renny Schaefer, Maddox Dubois, Jack Henry, Alex Harm, Zach Pierson, Enzo Macias-Aunave, and Dahnbea Sullivan.

    Congratulations to the Mathcounts team of Grady Bergeron, Cindy Do, Jimmy Jia, Evan Xia and Tiger Xia for all placing in the top twelve at the  Northwest championships at UVM and finishing second as a team. Cindy was the top scorer for Tuttle. Also Jessie Zhang scored a lifetime best.  They will compete for the State championship in about a month.
