Degrees and Certifications:
Phyllis Stambolian and Carol Wheeler
Carol Wheeler: I work with grades K-2 and am at school every day except Wednesday. I am originally from Philadelphia, where I graduated from St. Joseph's University with a Psychology degree. After completing a Master's Degree in school counseling at the University of Utah, I moved to Vermont. I am also a UVM graduate, with a C.A.S. in Special Education with a focus on behavioral intervention. My husband and I have two grown daughters who unfortunately live out of state. I've had the privilege to be a school counselor in many schools in Vermont, working with students aged five through twenty -one. Of course, my favorite so far is working with elementary school students; they love to learn!
I can be contacted at 652-7267 or cwheeler@sbschools
Phyllis Stambolian: I’m thrilled to be a part of the RMCS community! I will be working primarily with grades 3-5, but I plan to spend time with all of the wonderful students and teachers at our school. I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology from George Washington University and a Master’s degree in Counseling from UVM. I’m currently enrolled in a graduate program at St. Michael’s College in Arts Education. Many students know that I’m a singer and musical theater performer who loves to share my passion with them, so I teach many guidance lessons through drama activities and even some singing!
I worked at South Burlington High School for 14 years and have three children who live in California and are proud alumni of RMCS!
My work days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I can be reached at 652-7216 or PStambolian@sbschools.net
