Beginning in December of 2021 and continuing into the spring of 2022, a dedicated team of volunteers comprised of teachers, staff, community members, and representatives from Dore and Whittier Architects met to discuss options to address the enrollment capacity issues at two of our District's elementary schools, Rick Marcotte Central School and Orchard School. After evaluating a substantial amount of data and creating a decision matrix, the committee presented their recommendations for short, medium, and long term solutions to this issue to the school board and provided an outline of how the District could address capacity and facility space constraints District in the years to come.
