The next QSA meeting is this Wednesday after school in Mr. Carlson's room. Join us for snacks and acceptance!

Congratulations to the Middle School Nordic Ski Team for a great middle school state championship on Wednesday. The boys team was led by 7th grader, James Langan, who placed 3rd in the overall standings and 8th grader, Sam Harm, who placed 6th. 6th grader, Sylas Weaver, placed 16th. Renny Schaefer, 6th grade, placed 26th. With these results, the boys placed 2nd overall in the Vermont championships. Other middle school racers with good races for the day were: Renny Schaefer, Maddox Dubois, Jack Henry, Alex Harm, Zach Pierson, Enzo Macias-Aunave, and Dahnbea Sullivan.

Congratulations to the Mathcounts team of Grady Bergeron, Cindy Do, Jimmy Jia, Evan Xia and Tiger Xia for all placing in the top twelve at the Northwest championships at UVM and finishing second as a team. Cindy was the top scorer for Tuttle. Also Jessie Zhang scored a lifetime best. They will compete for the State championship in about a month.

Tuttle’s Spring Musical will be “Tuck Everlasting”! Based on Natalie Babbitt’s novel of the same name and packed with themes of friendship, family, love, and life, “Tuck Everlasting” follows the journey of Winnie Foster and her life-changing meeting with the Tuck family, who carry a very important and very magical secret. To learn more about this production and how to get involved, an informational kick-off meeting will be held this Thursday in room 164.

3:30-4:30pm in Mme Connors´ Room (261). This event will be led by SB students from the high school and Tuttle. Students will discuss personal struggles with culture shock, Nepalese celebrations, fashion and food culture ! Speaking of food, come with an appetite. There will be some Nepalese dumplings or "momos" at the event!

Today is the start of Autism Acceptance Week at FHTMS! Autism is a developmental disability that affects how we experience the world around us. Autistic people are an important part of the world and autism makes people unique.
Tuesday (tomorrow) is Neurodiversity Tuesday, and to celebrate the beauty in the diverse spectrum of the human mind, wear rainbow or tye-dye clothes to school.

A big shout out to our FHTMS community, peer leadership volunteers and all the people that supported our fundraiser to help Ukrainian refugee children. This morning our backpacks shipped out! And, with the help of surrounding communities the number was astounding- over 400 backpacks are now on their way to Germany and other refugee sites. Thank you to all who helped make this happen.

Operation Backpack4Kids is up and running at FHTMS! Please help Ukrainian refugees ages 5-12 by filling a backpack with the items listed on the checklist. Work together with a TA, a group of friends or your family. Bring your backpack, items, or donation to the Peer Leadership table in the morning from now until April 1st. So far, FHTMS has collected 42 backpacks which will be flown directly to Ukrainian kids. Help our school to reach out and support these families- let’s see how many backpacks we can donate!

Congratulations to 6th grader Lilly McLean for her 2nd place All Around finish in her age group at the Vermont State gymnastics meet yesterday in Rutland.
