District Mission Statement:
As an enlightened community of learners, we will ensure that each student demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and character to create a successful and responsible life in a rapidly changing society; we will do this by forming partnerships linking a dedicated community, its families, and educators with global resources to provide challenges that inspire all learners.

Technology Resources:
Thanks to a dedicated technology amount funded by the community, SBSD has taken great strides toward increasing the accessibility, and usability of technology to enhance student education.  For more information, please see the DNS home page.

Cisco Regional Networking Academy:
In the fall of 1999, SBHS became a Cisco Regional Educational Networking Academy !  For more information on our progress, visit the SBHS Tech Ed Home Page.  For an overview of the curriculum, check the Cisco Networking Academy Web Site.

SBHS Imaging Lab:
2D, 3D, and animation design courses taught under student-based network management and student mentors. The Imaging Lab continues in the forefront by using premiere technology and modern educational philosophies. Hardware includes Integraph and SGI workstations. Students select from among Lightwave, 3D Studio Max, Softimage, and Alias/Wavefront (Maya) software.

Technology Based Independent Study: Via many avenues, students have the ability to aquire practical work experience through apprenticeships, and work toward professional level certifications while still in school. Contact DNS for more information.

Community Partnerships:
Our technology efforts are supported by the community of South Burlington, and many local businesses.
